Gossip Train: Dido and Dolores O'Riordan are the Same

If you were wondering what happened to the Cranberries, that amazing Irish pop gig from the nineties, they lost their lead singer. She turned into Dido. It's amazing that nobody else has noticed this. They sound exactly the same. Conventional wisdom says that Brit/Irish accents don't come through in singing. Bono sounds just like any guy (yea right any guy with a shitload of passion). But not O'Riordan or Dido.

I had the luck to turn on the HDTV channel last night and there she was, singing away to a whole new generation of mushy hearted clams. That's ok with me though. 'Linger' was the best Cranberries song, 'Zombie' was pretty chill, but then after that they weren't that great. When Dido came along singing in that Eminem song, it was game time. Some girl even sang 'Thank You' solo at my cousin's prep school graduation. That never would have happened if she had stayed in the Crans.

So, thank you Dido, thank you.

I had no idea Dido and the Cranberries had any connection. I think this is one of your weird lie jokes.

Otherwise it is in your head. In your head. In your heeeaaaeeeeaaaaaaeeeed.
